FIFA WORLD CUP 2010

I've been waiting for this momentous event for so long, since the previous world cup (2006) had over successfully. That means, I've been waiting for this world soccer celebration for 4 years! Such a long range of time. I began to love it since I began to follow every single match in FIFA WC 2006 Germany. It makes me fall in love with soccer, and also it also allows me to choose my own favorite team, which is Germany! That's the reason why I want to learn Deutsch (German Language), however it seem a little bit impossible for me, but why not? As long as i learn it with all my determination, I will.
So, It is fun to share what I know about WC.2010, I probably don't know much, but I'll share what I've got.
As you know, FIFA WC 2010 will be held in South Africa at 11th of June - 11th of July 2010 (really love the date, because "eleven" is my favorite, always!) This will be the first time that the tournament has been hosted by an African nation, after South Africa beat Morocco and Egypt in an all-African bidding process. The official mascot for the 2010 FIFA World Cup is Zakumi (born 16 June 1994 (1994-06-16) (age 15)), a green-haired leopard. His name comes from "ZA", the international abbreviation for South Africa, and "kumi", a word that means "ten" in various African languages. The mascot's colors reflect those of the host nation's playing strip – yellow and green. The Zakumi's official motto is: "Zakumi's game is Fair Play." Perhaps, it was taken from FIFA official motto, "My Game is a Fair Play"

The match ball for the 2010 FIFA World Cup will be named the "Jabulani", made by Adidas, which means "bringing joy to everyone". The number eleven plays a prominent role in the new technologically advanced ball:
- it is the eleventh World Cup match ball made by the German sports equipment maker
- it features eleven colors, one for each player on the pitch
- there are eleven official languages of South Africa.
- Also, the event will start on the eleventh day of June and end on the eleventh day of July.
~~ Isn't "eleven" beautiful? :D

This biggest soccer event won't be magnificent enough without a theme song. So, they also made a theme song for this world cup. They have 4 or more, perhaps. But one of them is the main song, and it's called the Wavi'n Flag by K'naan, an African singer. Personally, i love the song. It reflects the enthusiasm of all soccer lover in the world.

Can hardly wait for 11th of June.
In 2006, the final champion was Italy.
Well, they're good, i must say.
But how about this year?.
Who will bring this beautiful trophy home?
We'll see then. Hope that it will be......

GERMANY!!!

Oo I almost forgot. Let me introduce Miroslav Klose, Germany's striker. He is the reason why I like Germany and number 11 (elf). For me, he is obviously great and he always brings the best of him.
